Healthy Food Ingredients receives National Animal Supplement Council Certification

HFI is now part of the Preferred Supplier program under NASC.

National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) Preferred Suppliers are pre-qualified vendors of raw materials (ingredients) that NASC Primary Suppliers (members that supply finished products) may accept and use without having to meet additional vendor qualification procedures required under NASC cGMPs.

Healthy Food Ingredients (HFI) is supplement audited by NSF to meet 21 CFR Parts 111 and 117.

The Preferred Supplier program is about quality and confidence in the supply chain from start to finish. According to NASC, in order to display the Preferred Supplier seal, participating companies must satisfy stringent acceptance criteria each year to ensure ongoing compliance. If they are a Preferred Supplier, they’ve taken the critical steps necessary to display the seal.

The blue Preferred Supplier logo identifies vendors that have qualified for the program. The NASC Preferred Supplier program helps to ensure total quality confidence throughout the supply chain, from raw materials to finished products.

HFI’s certified ingredients are processed in an allergen-free facility and customer validated through third-party testing. IntegriPure®, HFI’s micro reduction process, means industry-leading validation for a 5-log reduction. It effectively reduces microorganisms while protecting the integrity and functionality of ingredients.

“We look forward to partnering with our customers as an NASC Preferred Supplier to provide quality assurance in the supply chain, from start to finish, and support them in mitigating risk,” commented Jay Johnson, Chief Operating Officer for HFI.
